Respironics REMStar Basic M-Series CPAP Machine
See Details
If you are purchasing a new CPAP, Auto CPAP or BiLevel (BiPAP) machine, humidifier or an oxygen concentrator, then federal law requires that we receive a copy of a prescription written by your doctor. A sleep study report does not qualify as a prescription. Also, the purchase of complete CPAP masks does require a prescription.
(*** Note that the component parts that make up the mask DO NOT require a prescription! ***)
The prescription must state that it is for CPAP therapy and at what pressure your machine should be set. If you are purchasing a standard CPAP machine (one that operates at a constant pressure), then the prescription must show one pressure setting, which is generally a number between 4 and 20 and measured in cm of H2O. If you are purchasing an Auto CPAP machine, then your prescription must state two different pressures: A low (minimum) pressure setting and a high (maximum) pressure setting. If you are purchasing a BiLevel machine, then your prescription must state two pressure settings: An inspiratory (IPAP) setting and an expiratory (EPAP) setting. If you are purchasing an Oxygen Concentrator, the prescription should have the flow rate stated in Liters per minute.
Prescriptions can be faxed to us at 888-469-2555, or we can accept a scanned copy of your prescription by emailing it to us at
[email protected]
.
Please note that orders for machines, concentrators, or complete masks will NOT be shipped until we receive a copy of your prescription!

This product has been discontinued. Respironics has superceded the M-Series line with the new System One platform. See Related Items at the bottom of this page for a link to the REMstar Plus in the System One platform
.
ÿ
The new Respironics DS100 M-Series REMstar Basic CPAP features the same all-new small and sleek design and patient-friendly functions as the more expensive REMstar Plus and Pro, with the exception of C-Flex and SmartCard capability.
ÿ
The new REMstar M Series family is designed to better fit the patient™s sleep environment and better fit user needs. Simple changes such as moving the patient tubing to the back of the device and concealing the water chamber (when equipped with optional integrated humidifier) creates a less obtrusive profile in the bedroom. The simple humidification dial and the three lighted touch control buttons for power and ramp make it much easier to adjust therapy at night.

Patient
My Remstar Basic M-Series was purchased as a replacement for an older machine. The machine and mask were easy to set up and delivered a comfortable air flow. The unit is light and small, which makes it easy to locate at the bed side. The carry bag is arranged to be very practical, with an interior area that protects the mask during transport. The noise level in comparison to the older machine is very low. The power cord is long enough for practical use.
