This power cord allows the use of the ResMed AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 device that look like these to operate from any 12V or 24V DC power source.

It is used to connect a ResMed 10-series CPAP machine to any 12-volt or 24-volt battery receptacle, such as an automobile, boat, or RV cigarette lighter socket. Also included is an adapter cable that allows direct connection to the positive and negative terminals on a marine deep cycle battery.  Use this item to make traveling or over-nighting in your car, boat or RV possible. Cable length is 8 feet.

** Note - you will need a different power converter to power the S9-series ResMed CPAP machines.  The part number for this cable is
36970.

** This cable is REQUIRED when using an ResMed AirCurve or AirSense 10 series cpap or bilevel machine with a 12V or 24V power source. Other cables will physically fit the ResMed DC input on the machine, but they will damage the machine's power supply because the polarity is reversed.

Power Characteristics:

Input: 13A at nominal 12V input, 3.06.5A at nominal 24V input
Output: 24V, 3.75A

Resmed 10 12 volt adapter
We have an RV so I would rather power the CPAP from 12 volts. Sometimes RV parks have questionable power and if we are without 110 volt power the camper battery will easily get us through the night. Works great and has long cords so the adapter can easily be put out if the way.

Works exactly as expected
Bought the 37297 ResMed 10-Series DC adapter for my AirCurve 10 ASV machine so that I could run it from a 12v battery while camping. I've used it 5 nights so far and it works great.

High Quality DC Converter
RESMED seems to keep the prices pretty high for everything they sell, and this is no exception. However, this DC converter is built like a tank! Much heavier than I would have thought. And it works. Delivery was quick and painless.

Quality
The first time that I used the 37297 I had extended the DC wire 30' and VPAP kept shutting off every few minutes. The next time I just plugged it in directly and it worked fine. My assumption is that the extra length of wire was causing a voltage drop and was beyond the working parameters of the device. I couldn't have asked for better or quicker service from BestCPAPprice.com at an excellent price.

Client
I took this unit with me to the Western Mountains of Maine for a secluded camp fishing trip. The camp power went off each night at 10:00 PM . Using one marine battery and the adapter( the same I would use for my trolling motor and fish finder) I was able to sleep all three nights of stay with no interruptions and, I was able to use the humidifier. I highly recommend this unit for its' inexpensive cost and great function. The battery cost $83.00 and a trickle charger is all I need at home to keep it ready to go in case we should lose power at home. I now can 'rest" assured I will be able to get a good nights sleep.

ResMed 10-Series DC Adapter for AirSense 10 CPAP Machines and AirCurve 10 VPAP Machines
This works great. My husband and I both got one of these and paired it with a 90AH battery (purchased on e-bay) for use when we go camping or for when the power goes out during a storm. We set them up for a try-out at home to see how many hours of use we can get with one fully charged battery (we each have our own battery). So far my husband has accumulated about 70 hours of use (CPAP pressure set at 8 and using the humidifier) and the battery still is working. I started a few days later and am at about 49 hours of use (pressure set at 10 and using the humidifier) and battery still going strong. It was so easy to set up and there is a switch to turn the whole unit off so it doesn't drain the battery during the day. This is well worth the money and the peace of mind in knowing that you don't need electricity to run your CPAP machine.

DC Adapter for Resmed 10-Series AirSense CPAP
This product works as advertised. I've used it on my small sailboat, both connected to the "cigarette lighter" power outlet, and also using the alligator clips directly to the boat's battery terminals. Thanks, Simeon

It would have been a great help to have a simple instruction on how to connect this to the cpap and the battery. It is not intuitive to join the plug and the car lighter connection. I was a bit confused at first.

Great for RVs and even for home!
I've had this DC adapter for over a year now and it's functioned flawlessly. I use it in the RV and on a trickle charged 100Ah sealed gel battery I have at my bedside at our home (NEVER us a traditional lead acid car battery indoors!). I don't worry about power failures quietly shutting off my CPAP at night anymore. In the RV when boondocking, this DC adapter is very gentle on my battery bank typically drawing an amp or two at 12v when the face mask is on and the display is off. I haven't measured it with nasal pillows. Some people use a 110v inverter in their RVs to power their Resmed AC adaptor when boondocking. I researched that method and discarded it because it uses too much battery power due to the inefficiencies of converting DC battery power to AC through an inverter and then back to DC again by the CPAP's standard AC adaptor. Lead acid batteries such as those used in cars and RVs should never be discharged below 50% or you'll shorten their lives. Also if you want to get really technical, Peukert's law works against your RV's house batteries at the higher current draws of the inverter method. Don't be penny wise and pound-foolish. Get this 12v DC adapter if you plan on camping on batteries or want to run off of sealed gel batteries at home.

Worked perfectly with the lithium battery I bought. Got 2 great nights of sleep while camping. I like the on/off button built into the back of the lighter plug.

purchased the 10 Series DC adapter for my AirSense 10, to use when we are camping. It worked great I was able to sleep soundly. The only complaint was with the directions, NO where did they inform me there was an on--off switch on the adapter, and it took a while to figure out why it was not transfering power to the CPAP.

The adapter makes travel with the AirSense 10 CPAP machine really easy. I use the back seat plug, set the machine on the seat and feed the hose and mask to the passenger seat.

Mr
First the good news: The product seems to be very well made and works as advertised. Shipping and delivery was very quick after placing my order. The bad news: I cannot blame the product, but it didn't meet my expectations. It appears the Aircurve 10 is a very power hungry machine! I had hoped to use this with an SLA battery of about 5Ah or so, but in practice it started cutting out after 30 minutes. So I moved to a higher capacity battery - one of those you use to jumpstart your car. This time I achieved about 3 hours before cutting out. So I guess you really need something as big as a car battery or an RV. (I was planning to use this for tent camping so the car battery may to be feasible). I've not tried a car battery yet but I'm a little concerned that after a good night's sleep it may not have enough power left to actually start the car! This may be of no concern if you have an RV with big batteries, but for me it seems the only solution is to get a portable CPAP machine. I repeat, this is not the fault of the product, but thought these comments might help anyone else in deciding if it will work for them.
