PureSom Compact Travel CPAP Machine

If you are purchasing a new CPAP, Auto CPAP or BiLevel (BiPAP) machine, humidifier or an oxygen concentrator, then federal law requires that we receive a copy of a prescription written by your doctor. A sleep study report does not qualify as a prescription. Also, the purchase of complete CPAP masks does require a prescription.
(*** Note that the component parts that make up the mask DO NOT require a prescription! ***)
The prescription must state that it is for CPAP therapy and at what pressure your machine should be set. If you are purchasing a standard CPAP machine (one that operates at a constant pressure), then the prescription must show one pressure setting, which is generally a number between 4 and 20 and measured in cm of H2O. If you are purchasing an Auto CPAP machine, then your prescription must state two different pressures: A low (minimum) pressure setting and a high (maximum) pressure setting. If you are purchasing a BiLevel machine, then your prescription must state two pressure settings: An inspiratory (IPAP) setting and an expiratory (EPAP) setting. If you are purchasing an Oxygen Concentrator, the prescription should have the flow rate stated in Liters per minute.
Prescriptions can be faxed to us at 888-469-2555, or we can accept a scanned copy of your prescription by emailing it to us at
[email protected]
.
Please note that orders for machines, concentrators, or complete masks will NOT be shipped until we receive a copy of your prescription!

Customer Reviews
This simple, compact, lightweight travel CPAP machine is a perfect solution for overnight travel, and it also lends itself well to home use as a primary machine. Marketed by Cardinal Health, the PureSom weighs in at only 1.7 lbs, runs directly on AC power (110V or 220V) without a bulky "power brick", and operates quietly and unobtrusively. For a small, economical machine, it offers a lot of useful features, such as adjustable ramp and altitude compensation, and an optional heated humidifier.
This CPAP machine is backed by a two-year manufacturer's warranty, and our experience with these units shows that they are very rugged and durable

Puresom is the same as zzz-pap
I purchased more than one small machine and discovered that puresom seems identical (except for case color and cord) to the zzz-pap. They both seem like good small travel machines, but they also seem rugged enough to be a budget primary machine. Although I believe it was just a random manufacturing variation, my puresom is a bit louder than the zzz-pap, so I am giving it "only" four stars.

Terrible machine!
First - this machine is noisy. It makes a whistling or "wheezing" type of sound every time you inhale and exhale. There is also a constant motor sound that reverberates through the hose that sounds like a vacuum cleaner running. This has kept me awake for two straight nights now. You also get a burning electrical type of smell in the air. It doesn't get better with use either. The filtration on this machine is also non-existent. I will be looking to sell this terrible CPAP machine.

Teacher
A wonderful little travel cpap. I bought this to take to Germany with me last June and it was great. So easy going through security/customs. One small pluf adapter was all it took to be used in Germany and France. I now use it often when I go visit family in the U.S. So small and easy to pack. It is just slightly louder than my home machine but I adjusted within minutes.
