SmartFlex Pressure Relief technology enhances patient comfort by softening the air pressure during exhalation, which makes it easier to exhale against the pressure generated by the machine. This can be a big benefit for patient's who are trying to adjust to the sensation of CPAP therapy. SmartFlex has three levels of adjustment, with each setting corresponding to 1, 2, or 3 cm of pressure drop. In addition, this pressure drop is maintained throughout the duration of the exhale cycle, and in the event of an apnea event, SmartFlex will be temporarily suspended to ensure that the event is treated properly.
With its new IntelliPAP2 line of CPAP and Auto-CPAP machines, DeVilbiss is offering customers an exciting alternative to higher-priced machines from ResMed and Respironics. However, DeVilbiss did not cut corners in offering an attractive price - the IntelliPAP is built for durability, as evidenced by the 3-year warranty
on the machine. With all of this comes an innovative design and sporting a small footprint, intuitive user-friendly control panel, and one of the quietest flow generators on the market at 26 dBA
(compared to 30 dBA for the competition). Add to this the automatic altitude compensation, and other handy features like user-adjustable pressure ramp, apnea/hypopnea detection, SmartCode compliance tracking and easy-to-read backlit LCD display, and the IntelliPAP2 becomes a compelling choice for a back-up or full-time CPAP machine.
Sleek, compact design with full color LCD display - The large color screen and intuitive control knob make setting up and
using the IntelliPAP 2 incredibly simple. Graphical displays of
functions like SmartFlex™ and Flow Rounding™ become easy to interpret
and adjust. A digital clock is displayed as a screen saver and the
display’s brightness can be adjusted, set to dim automatically, or
turned off completely.
Rugged construction backed by a three-year warranty
Extremely quiet operation - rated at 26 dBA
Large, slip-resistant pads on bottom of unit to minimize movement on night table during the night
Large, backlit LCD and easy-to-follow patient menu
Wide pressure range - (3 to 20 cm/h2o) and adjustable ramp for enhanced comfort when falling asleep
Automatic altitude compensation
Universal Power Supply automatically detects and switches between 110 v and 240 volts for international use
Separate 12-volt power connection allows the machine to automatically switch to battery power if AC power fails (battery and 12-volt power cable sold separately)
Advanced data capture of apnea/hypopnea events, snore detection, and leakage rates. The PureView Algorithm also identifies periodic breathing greater than 20
seconds with repetitive cycles. This allows the algorithm to identify
the patient has periodic breathing, central sleep apnea, or complex
apnea. This technology can detect short cycle (30 sec) and long cycle
(Cheyne-Stokes Respiration) periodic breathing. Additionally, Respiratory events including obstructive apnea, hypopnea, central apnea,
arousal-flow-based respiratory event related arousals (RERAs) are detected, along with simple flow limitations.
- Bluetooth: Bluetooth technology enables wireless communication between the IntelliPAP 2 and associated components and accessories.
- SmartLink App: Provides an interactive means for
patients to stay engaged with their therapy, while also wirelessly
transmitting data to the provider. Can be downloaded to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running Apple iOS 8 or newer, or Android smartphones and tablets running 4.0.3 or newer
Auto start/stop feature starts machine operation when patient breathes into mask and stops flow of air when mask is removed
Handy canvas travel bag expands easily for larger masks and extra equipment
Manufacturer's 3-year warranty
