SmartFlex Pressure Relief technology enhances patient comfort by softening the air pressure during exhalation, which makes it easier to exhale against the pressure generated by the machine. This can be a big benefit for patient's who are trying to adjust to the sensation of CPAP therapy. SmartFlex has three levels of adjustment, with each setting corresponding to 1, 2, or 3 cm of pressure drop. In addition, this pressure drop is maintained throughout the duration of the exhale cycle, and in the event of an apnea event, SmartFlex will be temporarily suspended to ensure that the event is treated properly.
With its new IntelliPAP2 line of CPAP and Auto-CPAP machines, DeVilbiss is offering customers an exciting alternative to higher-priced machines from ResMed and Respironics. However, DeVilbiss did not cut corners in offering an attractive price - the IntelliPAP is built for durability, as evidenced by the rugged design of the humidifier chamber (high-impact Lexan and stainless steel plate, instead of low-grade plastic and aluminum), special baffling system to prevent water intrusion from the humidifier, and industry-leading 3-year warranty
on the machine and humidifier. With all of this comes an innovative design, sporting the smallest footprint of any machine-humidifier combination (6.5"W x 6.9"L x 4.2"H), intuitive, user-friendly control panel, and one of the quietest flow generators on the market at 26 dBA
(compared to 30 dBA for the competition). Add to this the advanced auto-titrating algorithm, completely integrated humidifier design (without extra power cables or clunky in-line transformers), automatic altitude compensation, and other handy features like user-adjustible pressure ramp, adjustible apnea/hypopnea detection, SmartCode compliance tracking and easy-to-read backlit LCD display, and the IntelliPAP becomes a compelling choice for a back-up or full-time Auto-CPAP machine.
- PureView™ AutoAdjust® Algorithm identifies a broad base
of respiratory events and automatically adjust pressure based on the
most relevant events. The reporting gives you information
for any type of condition from simple obstructive apnea to the most
Sleek, compact design with full color LCD display - The large color screen and intuitive control knob make setting up and
using the IntelliPAP 2 incredibly simple. Graphical displays of
functions like SmartFlex™ and Flow Rounding™ become easy to interpret
and adjust. A digital clock is displayed as a screen saver and the
display’s brightness can be adjusted, set to dim automatically, or
turned off completely.
Smallest footprint of any CPAP machine/heated humidifier combination (6.5" x 8.4")
Rugged construction backed by the industry's best warranty - 3 years for machine and humidifier
Extremely quiet operation - rated at 26 dBA
Large, slip-resistant pads on bottom of unit to minimize movement on night table during the night
Large, backlit LCD and easy-to-follow patient menu
Wide pressure range - (3 to 20 cm/h2o) and adjustible ramp for enhanced comfort when falling asleep
Automatic altitude compensation
Universal Power Supply automatically detects and switches between 110 v and 240 volts for international use
Separate 12-volt power connection allows the machine to automatically switch to battery power if AC power fails (battery and 12-volt power cable sold separately)
Truly integrated heated humidifier seamlessly docks onto the bottom of the CPAP machine without separate hoses or power cables
- PulseDose Heated Humidification System: PulseDose
humidification is a unique innovative approach to managing rainout in
the patient tubing and mask. The algorithm provides humidified air to
the patient during inhalation to ensure
proper humidification. During exhalation, dry air is used to flush the
humidity from the tube to reduce the chance of rainout. This huge
break-through in technology is a great feature adding to the patients
comfort, making their sleep
therapy a more pleasant experience.
Easy-to-fill humidifier chamber cannot be overfilled and includes special baffling to prevent water intrusion into CPAP machine
Advanced data capture of apnea/hypopnea events, snore detection, and leakage rates. The PureView Algorithm also identifies periodic breathing greater than 20
seconds with repetitive cycles. This allows the algorithm to identify
the patient has periodic breathing, central sleep apnea, or complex
apnea. This technology can detect short cycle (30 sec) and long cycle
(Cheyne-Stokes Respiration) periodic breathing. Additionally, Respiratory events including obstructive apnea, hypopnea, central apnea,
arousal-flow-based respiratory event related arousals (RERAs) are detected, along with simple flow limitations.
- Bluetooth: Bluetooth technology enables wireless communication between the IntelliPAP 2 and associated components and accessories.
- SmartLink App: Provides an interactive means for
patients to stay engaged with their therapy, while also wirelessly
transmitting data to the provider. Can be downloaded to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running Apple iOS 8 or newer, or Android smartphones and tablets running 4.0.3 or newer
Auto start/stop feature starts machine operation when patient breathes into mask and stops flow of air when mask is removed
Handy canvas travel bag expands easily for larger masks and extra equipment
Manufacturer's 3-year warranty on machine and heated humidifier
