APEX Medical XT CPAP

See Details
If you are purchasing a new CPAP, Auto CPAP or BiLevel (BiPAP) machine, humidifier or an oxygen concentrator, then federal law requires that we receive a copy of a prescription written by your doctor. A sleep study report does not qualify as a prescription.  Also, the purchase of complete CPAP masks does require a prescription.  (*** Note that the component parts that make up the mask DO NOT require a prescription! ***)
The prescription must state that it is for CPAP therapy and at what pressure your machine should be set. If you are purchasing a standard CPAP machine (one that operates at a constant pressure), then the prescription must show one pressure setting, which is generally a number between 4 and 20 and measured in cm of H2O. If you are purchasing an Auto CPAP machine, then your prescription must state two different pressures: A low (minimum) pressure setting and a high (maximum) pressure setting. If you are purchasing a BiLevel machine, then your prescription must state two pressure settings: An inspiratory (IPAP) setting and an expiratory (EPAP) setting.  If you are purchasing an Oxygen Concentrator, the prescription should have the flow rate stated in Liters per minute.
Prescriptions can be faxed to us at 888-469-2555, or we can accept a scanned copy of your prescription by emailing it to us at sales@bestcpapprice.com.

Please note that orders for machines, concentrators, or complete masks will NOT be shipped until we receive a copy of your prescription!

APEX CPAP
The products works as expected. It makes a little more noise than my "home" unit, but it certainly is good for travel. The weight is very good and the price is excellent. I recommend this product as a "travel" or back up unit.

Very High Fan Noise Level
I found the XT CPAP, XT Fit (No Humidifier) to have so much fan noise that I could not sleep. I tried three different mask and two different supply hoses and was not able to reduce the noise enough to sleep. One night I did fall to sleep after four hours but woke up three hours later and could not get back to sleep. I bought this CPAP as a backup and for travelling. I have used a Philips Respironics System One PAP Machine for the last two years and it has been very satisfactory. It is very quiet.

simple small travel CPAP
I bought this CPAP for occasional travel. It is small, light weight and simple. It does not have a humidifier but I do not find that a problem for an occasional overnight. It is also fixed pressure and that does not bother me. It is a little noisier than my regular auto machine, but hotels are also generally noisier than my home bedroom. I am not one to let little things bug me. I put on my CPAP every night and just go to sleep. The adjustments for ramp time and pressure are very easy to change. For the cost.... this is a dandy little travel (and backup) machine.

I don't think I could recommend it to anyone!
It is so noisy I could not believe it! I sleep through anything, the first night it was horrible. I don't think it will bother a sleeping friend in a separate bed, but I don't know if someone was close to you. I needed a smaller c-pap for traveling as heavy ones are too hard to travel with now that I am older. Too bad someone couldn't make a smaller one that is quiet!

APEX Medical XT CPAP
I have been generally pleased with this product. It is nice and small and will easily double as my home unit and traveling unit. There is an on/off switch for air but even if the air is off the lcd display stays lit which seems like a waste of electricity and bulb burnout. To get the lcd to turn off you have to unplug the unit. It would be nice if the lcd turned off when the unit is not blowing air. Other than that it works great and was a good value for the money. Works as well as higher priced units that I have used before.

Strong Evidence of Greatness
This machine is quite nice. It is very compact and for the price is retains excellent value. While this is not my first noninvasive positive pressure ventilation device I have owned it certainly has a place in my therapy regiment. The only negative (which I will submit humbly is not much of an issue) is there is an substantial increased noise from the blower motor through the patient interface (mask). This machine itself is close to silent, the noise that transmits down the length of the tube from the blower motor however is not. Do not let you dissuade you from the purchase because the machine is functional, and what I like to think of a bonus, generates its own ‘white noise’ which is a benefit for those of us who sleep during the daytime hours. What I appreciate the most which is not strictly a review of the product was how promptly the folks at ‘BestCPAPprice.com’ facilitated answering all my questions about the device and how quickly it arrived to my doorstep after purchase.
