Respironics' Encore Viewer Data Management software allows information from the SmartCard or SD Card to be downloaded directly to your computer for detailed analysis of the date, time and duration of each session. Additionally, both the REMstar Pro II, Pro M Series and the REMstar Auto, BiPAP Auto, and Auto M Series and REMstar Auto record occurrences of flow-limitation events like snores, hypopneas or apneas, time at specific pressure levels (on auto CPAPs and BiPAPs), event histograms and mask leaks. The information is given in short-term detailed formats as well as in long-term trends.
This software allows the user to view all of the same reports as the original Encore Pro software, but the feature that allows machine pressure settings to be overridden have been removed. It will not delete or alter data on the Smart Card. Encore Viewer is a much smaller program than Encore Pro (only about 40 Megabytes), and it is much simpler to install since it does not require the installation and setup of the Microsoft SQL server software.
Respironics offers limited technical support for the software itself, but they do not assist with the interpretation or analysis of the data from the reports.
This package does not include the USB Data Card reader that is required to scan the card and upload the information to your computer.
This package also includes the USB SmartCard reader that attaches to any USB port on your computer, complete with manuals and installation CD.
Intended Use
EncoreViewer is intended for use by the end users (patients) using Respironics sleep therapy devices to view their compliance and sleep therapy information in the form of detailed on-screen and printable reports. This software does not delete or modify data on the Encore SmartCard.

** Please Note - when installing the SmartCard reader, do not use the driver disc that is supplied with the reader. This driver is for use with the EncorePro software only. Instead, the correct driver for EncoreViewer is contained on the same disc as the EncoreViewer software, and is automatically installed when you run the installation program. You will only need to connect the card reader to your USB port after running the installation wizard.
