BestCPAPprice notes: This is the newly released re-design of the Opus Nasal Pillows System. Fisher & Paykel is now referring to this model as the "Opus 360". A number of improvements have been made to the design of this mask to make it maintain a better seal and to improve comfort. Most notably, the pillows have been redesigned to make them sturdier so that they will seal better. The walls of the pillows have been strengthened so that they maintain their shape, and refinements have been made to their shape to improve movement and flexibility. The Opus 360 also features a new contoured mask frame and headgear. The most notable change here is that the plastic reinforcements that are attached to the straps have been shortened, which should make the mask more comfortable for side sleepers. The headgear also features new hidden strap releases for easy removal and better fit.
** Please note that the new headgear and mask base WILL NOT be compatible with the previous design. The new nasal pillows will retrofit to the earlier mask frame, but the reverse is not true - the old pillows WILL NOT fit in the new mask frame.
The all-new Opus™ 482 Nasal Pillows Mask is exceptionally lightweight, quiet and user-friendly. Its ball-and-socket styled joint is an improvement on the swivel design of the Infinity 481, allowing a full 360 degrees of movement combined with an innovative anchoring system that allows the hose to be routed up and over the nose, tethered to either side or simply left unhooked to take advantage of its unhindered freedom of movement. This mask does not tend to shift due to lateral pressure (like the Swift does) when laying on one's side. The Premium Frosted Silicone Seals are anatomically shaped to achieve a superb seal and to deliver pressure comfortably and directly to each nostril. The patented Air Diffuser disperses the exhaled air through a pattern of tiny openings, making it whisper-quiet while diverting the air away from your sleeping partner.
