The HC233 is newest model following the HC221LE Series CPAP system from Fisher & Paykel.
Features
- Integrated CPAP flow generator and heated humidification system with Ambient Tracking™ Plus - The temperature and humidity of the air you breathe during CPAP treatment affects the quality of your sleep. The HC234 is a fully integrated CPAP system that automatically heats and humidifies the air, to minimize side effects and make CPAP therapy more comfortable.
- Putting the comfort into CPAP - User comfort is top priority for the HC234, because if therapy is comfortable you’ll be more likely to continue treatment and avoid the long term damaging effects of OSA
- Heated humidification with Ambient TrackingTM PLUS - Common CPAP side effects – like nasal congestion, throat discomfort and a sore throat – can be avoided if you breathe warm, moist air. The original HC220 Series, with Ambient TrackingTM, compensated for changes in room temperature to maximize humidity and minimize condensation. The HC234 takes this innovative thinking a step further with Ambient TrackingTM Plus – technology that automatically ensures that the right amount of heated humidification is delivered even when you mouth breathe or the mask leaks. This also allows the user to set the heater plate temperature higher than with a conventional humidifier without causing condensation. The user then receives more humidity during the night. As the room temperature cools overnight, Ambient TrackingTM Plus reduces the temperature to the heater plate to minimize condensation
- Proportional Ramp Pressure - At high set pressures, some CPAP users experience shortness of breath at the beginning of ramp. The HC234 overcomes this problem by adjusting the starting ramp pressure proportionally to set pressure. Above 9cmH20 the starting ramp pressure is 1/3 of set pressure.
- Quieter operation - Two kinds of noise can annoy you and your sleeping partner. There is the noise of the CPAP system and the gurgling noise (rainout) that results from condensation forming in the airtube. The HC234 addresses both issues. It operates very quietly and, with Ambient TrackingTM Plus, it automatically adjusts the level of humidification to minimize rainout noise from condensation while maximizing comfort.
- Truly integrated - This unit is a truly integrated CPAP system that includes heated humidification at the onset oftherapy to improve acceptance and compliance. It is also the smallest combined CPAP and heated humidifier,so it uses less bedroom space and makes travelling easier.
- Fisher & Paykel is a trusted brand in the healthcare market. As well as building reliability into their products, they provide a generous 2-year warranty.
